What is Berify?
Berify is a reverse image search site. Using an advanced algorithm, we allow you to see where else your images and creative works are being used on the internet. If you are worried about other stealing your content, you can set up periodic notifications to alert you when we find your image is being used by someone other than you.

What is a reverse image search?
Our reverse image search service is a complex matching algorithms. This algorithm allows us to quickly search over 800 million images along with image data from all the major image search engines.
How is Berify different from Google Images or TinEye?
Free tools like Google Images and TinEye search their own index only. Berify searches multiple engines at once—Google, Bing, Yandex, and others—then combines the results. This matters because each engine indexes different parts of the web.
We also detect modified images. Someone crops your photo, adds a filter, or removes your watermark? Free tools usually miss that. Berify uses perceptual hashing to find images that look the same, even if the file data is completely different.
What types of images can I search?
Berify supports JPG, PNG, GIF, and most common image formats. You can upload photos, illustrations, digital art, screenshots, and product images. We also support video frame searches—upload a still from your video content to find where it appears online.
Maximum file size is 20MB per image. For best results, use the highest resolution version of your image available.
Do you search social media platforms?
We search content that's publicly indexed by major search engines. This includes public posts on platforms like Twitter/X, Pinterest, Tumblr, and public Facebook pages. Private accounts and posts with restricted visibility won't appear in results.
Instagram and some other platforms limit search engine indexing, so coverage there is more limited. We're honest about this—no reverse image search can see everything on the internet.
What is automatic image monitoring?
Instead of manually searching for your images every week, you can set up automatic monitoring. Upload your images once, and Berify will periodically search for new matches. When we find your image somewhere new, you get an email alert.
This is useful for photographers with large portfolios, brands protecting product images, or anyone who wants ongoing protection without the manual effort.
How accurate are the search results?
Our algorithm assigns a match confidence percentage to each result. Exact duplicates typically score 95-100%. Modified versions—cropped, filtered, or resized—usually score 70-94% depending on how much the image changed.
We occasionally surface similar images that aren't actually your photo. This happens with generic subjects like sunsets or product shots where many photos look alike. The confidence score helps you quickly identify which results are worth investigating.
Can Berify find images that have been heavily edited?
It depends on how much was changed. We can usually detect: cropping, color adjustments, filters, watermark removal, horizontal flipping, resolution changes, and format conversions.
We struggle with: images that have been substantially repainted or retouched, composite images where your photo is a small element, or images where someone traced or recreated your work manually. No technology can catch everything.
Is Berify only for photographers?
Not at all. Our users include digital artists, illustrators, graphic designers, e-commerce brands, marketing agencies, models, content creators, and copyright attorneys. Anyone who creates or owns visual content can benefit from knowing where it appears online.
We also see individuals using Berify to check if their personal photos have been stolen—profile pictures used on fake accounts, for example.
