• Can I search for people who are in other countries?

  Our coverage is all English speaking countries in the world.

• Will people know if I search them?

  We gather data using sources that will maintain your anonymity to any person or organization outside of Berify.com.

• Is my uploaded image kept private?

  Yes. Images you upload for searching are stored temporarily to process the search, then deleted from our servers. We don't add your images to any public database, and we don't share them with third parties.

  Your search history is tied to your account and only accessible by you. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest.

• What data does Berify collect about me?

  We collect: your email address (for account access), payment information (processed by Stripe, we don't see full card numbers), search history (so you can review past results), and basic usage analytics (page views, feature usage—nothing personally identifiable).

• Can Berify be used to stalk or harass someone?

  We explicitly prohibit using Berify for stalking, harassment, or any illegal purpose. Our Terms of Service require that you only search for images you own or have legitimate reason to search.

• Is Berify safe to use on work devices?

  Berify is a legitimate business tool used by professionals, agencies, and legal teams. The site is work-appropriate and doesn't contain adult content. Many of our users access Berify from work computers and corporate networks without issue.

• How do I report misuse of the service?

  If you believe someone is using Berify to harass you or violate your rights, contact us at support@berify.com with details. Include any relevant information: screenshots, dates, email addresses if known.

  We take abuse reports seriously and investigate all claims. We'll take action including account termination when warranted.

• Can I use Berify to find my own stolen photos?

  Yes—this is exactly what Berify is designed for. If someone has stolen your photos and is using them without permission, Berify helps you find where they appear. You can then pursue DMCA takedowns, contact the sites directly, or work with an attorney if needed.

• Is my payment information secure?

  All payment processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI Level 1 certified payment processor (the highest level of certification). We never see or store your full credit card number.

  Your connection to Berify is encrypted with TLS, the same security used by banks and major e-commerce sites.

• What happens if Berify gets hacked?

  We maintain security practices designed to prevent breaches: encrypted data storage, limited employee access, regular security audits, and up-to-date systems. We don't store passwords in plain text.

  In the unlikely event of a breach affecting your data, we'll notify affected users promptly with details about what was exposed and recommended actions. This is required by law and is our commitment to transparency.

• Does Berify work in the EU with GDPR?
